What is the New Agent Program (NAP)?
The New Agent Program (NAP) is an interactive, and in-depth course designed primarily for first-year Registered Migration Agents (RMAs). The NAP assists participants gain the relevant skills and knowledge to set up, run, and effectively manage migration clients. It teaches participants how to build positive working relationships with the Department of Home Affairs and other key industry stakeholders. Legal Training Australia's NAP builds on the knowledge already gained through the Graduate Diploma, and assists aspiring and/or new/former RMAs to prepare for a career in the Australian migration advice profession.

Who should take the NAP?
- RMAs in their first year of registration
- Australian lawyers who are starting to practice migration law.
- Former agents, or RMAs wanting a refresher course
- Professionals not classified above
How many CPD points are included?
The NAP is worth 10 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points including 2 mandatory points. The NAP meets the '10 CPD points in a 12 month period' for RMA re-registration requirement.
How is NAP delivered?
The New Agent Program (NAP) is delivered every 2 months, and is made up of the following components:
- 5 interactive webinars of 2 hours each (10 hours total) in 1 day
- Online via Zoom with an experienced Australian Immigration Lawyer
- The final of the 5 webinars is a 2 hour mandatory workshop, Code of Conduct
What technology will I require?
To participate in the NAP you will need a desktop computer, laptop, or smartphone with speakers and microphone, a reliable internet connection, preferably with an Ethernet cable. A webcam is optional. You are not required to show your face.
How many places are available?
The maximum class size for each NAP is 30. Participants are encouraged to register for their preferred month as soon as possible. Six courses will be delivered during the year and participants are expected to complete the NAP within the month they enrol.
Is there an assessment?
No.

- The agent is aware that they must not submit an application to the Department without the specified accompanying documentation.
- The agent understands that files must be stored in an orderly and secure manner to maintain confidentiality.

- The agent understands which documents the client is entitled to have returned to them on completion of services.

About Arnela Tolic
Arnela, is a dynamic and responsive Immigration Lawyer.
After relocating to Australia in 2001, her own migration journey inspired her to help other immigrants to make the move to Australia.
