Legal Training Australia is a fully accredited CPD provider and our course programs are completely compliant with and sufficient for MARA re-registration.

Terms of Service

Please note that by making a payment and engaging Legal Training Australia to provide you with a CPD course program, you are confirming that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions of this agreement.

1. Provision of services upon receipt of payment

Legal Training Australia shall send you a booking confirmation via e-mail and at that stage your booking is permanent.

2. Limitations to provision of service

The exact venue of CPD course programs are determined based on numbers. Each enrolee will be notified about the exact venue location at least 72 hours before the program's scheduled commencement and is subject to change or be cancelled before such time. Should any cancellation of event occur, each enrolee will be notified at least 5 days before the program is scheduled to start. LTA will not refund flight, hotel and transfer costs as a the result of CPD event cancellations. RMAs are encouraged to take out travel insurance to protect their travel costs.

3. REFUND POLICY & OTHER FEES PAYABLE

Prices, presenters and CPD programs are subject to change without notice. High-demand CPD events are likely to have raised prices in the final days prior to the event. It is best practice for agents to book early to obtain the lowest price.

NO SHOWS

No refunds, credits or transfers for a no-show at any CPD Activity. This includes cases where the RMA is too sick to attend on the day, or any other personal crisis, including cases of COVID-19, plus repatriation and travel arrangements interfering with an existing CPD booking.

CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFER REQUESTS WITHIN 48 HOURS FROM THE START OF THE ACTIVITY

Cancellations and transfer requests cannot be made over the phone or by text message. No refunds will be provided for cancellations, transfer requests, or no-shows within 48 hours clear of the commencement of the CPD Activity. No transfers are permitted within 48 hours of the start of the CPD activity. Cancellations and transfers within 48 hours of the start of the CPD Activity should expect to forfeit their booking/s and receive no refund or transfer to another event. No credit is available for cancellations, transfer requests, or no-shows within 48 hours clear of the commencement of the event.

CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFERS WITH 2-5 DAYS NOTICE FROM THE START OF THE ACTIVITY

1 day 10 CPD workshops - $150 admin fee

Cancellation of a 1 day 10 CPD workshop, or transfer to another 1 day 10 CPD Workshop CPD Activity within 2-5 days of the start of the first 1 day 10 CPD workshop Activity incurs a $150 admin fee.

Webinars, Seminars and Other CPD Activities - 75% admin fee


Cancellation or transfer within 2-5 days of the start of the CPD Activity will be 75% of the price of the CPD Activity which has been paid for. For example if the event was a $44 webinar then the admin fee will be $33. If the event was a $66 webinar the admin fee will be $49.50.

This includes cases where the RMA is too sick to attend on the day, or any other personal crisis, including cases of COVID-19, plus repatriation and travel arrangements interfering with an existing CPD booking.

CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFERS WITH MORE THAN 5 DAYS NOTICE FROM THE START OF THE ACTIVITY

1 day 10 CPD workshops

When more than 5 days notice is provided (5 days clear from the start of the activity), a $75 admin fee is charged for cancellations and transfers for all 1 day 10 CPD workshops. This includes workshops which have been moved online as a means of preventing the spread of Coronavirus. The $75 admin fee for cancellations and transfers still applies.

This includes cases where the RMA is too sick to attend on the day, or any other personal crisis, including cases of COVID-19, plus repatriation and travel arrangements interfering with an existing CPD booking.

Webinars, Seminars and other CPD Activities


For all webinars a transfer will be considered free of charge at the discretion of Management. Requests should be put in writing to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and are not automatic.

12 and 24 hour priority reporting is completed within the relevant time frame from the date of payment for priority reporting.  Only working hours are considered for the purposes of the relevant time frame for priority reporting. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm EST.  Weekends and the hours between 5:30pm and 9am are not counted towards the hours for priority reporting as LTA do not have staff available on weekends and nights to report CPD points.

LTA often has a difference in price of the same CPD product at two different times.  Price fluctuations can even happen multiple times on the same day.  LTA reserves the right to change our prices at any time to take account of supply and demand at a particular point in time, and in order to remain competitive.

LTA agrees to price-match a CPD product to a competitor's price at the time of purchase of our CPD product, but not after the time of purchase of our CPD product.

In purchasing our CPD products you agree that you are happy with the price that you have paid for our CPD product at that point in time, irrespective of whether the price for the same CPD product is lower at a later point in time. A lowering of price offers RMAs the confidence that the price is a proper reflection of the product's competitive position in the marketplace on that particular point in time compared to our competitors prices.  For RMAs who have bought any CPD product at a higher price, there is no refund of the difference if the price is lowered at a later point in time.  Much the same as if LTA increase our price at any point in time we will not ask previously booked RMAs to pay the new higher price for the CPD product if they are already booked in.

A $15 admin fee for each phone, fax or email booking applies.

SOLD OUT EVENTS - NO TRANSFERS, REFUNDS, CREDITS

If an event is sold out, closed off, and taken offline, no transfers are permitted. No refunds and no credits are available for events which have been sold out.

4. LIABILITY

Legal Training Australia expressly disclaims all and any liability to any person in respect of anything and of the consequences of anything, done or omitted to be done by any person in reliance, whether wholly or partially, on the whole or any part of the contents of answers or other services provided by Legal Training Australia.

Legal Training Australia disclaims any liability for any action or omission on their part based on any information provided or not provided in our training and materials.

Legal Training Australia is under no obligation to keep the practitioners informed about the matters discussed in our training or any future changes to any of the training we offer.

It is the responsibility of each practitioner to obtain access to primary sources of law and policy by themselves and to carry out their own research and come to their own conclusions on legislation, case law, policies and more.

5. IMPLIED TERMS & LIMITATIONS

To the extent permitted by law, Legal Training Australia specifically disclaims all warranties whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise relating in any way to this Agreement, including, without limitation, any warranty that the Services provided under this Agreement are fit for a particular purpose. You acknowledge that you have exercised and relied upon your own skill in determining whether the Services provided under this Agreement meet your particular requirements, and that you have not relied on any statement or representation made on behalf of Legal Training Australia.

6. Legal Training Australia MATERIAL

Each part of the Legal Training Australia Website and all communications from Legal Training Australia as part of the Service(s) ("Legal Training Australia MATERIAL") are protected by copyright unless otherwise indicated. Legal Training Australia reserves all rights. You agree not to copy, reproduce, alter, adapt, modify, translate, create relative works, transmit, storing electronic or other media or otherwise deal with the Legal Training Australia MATERIAL, including each part of the Legal Training Australia MATERIAL, except where expressly permitted to do so by Legal Training Australia. Client download and/or printing of material for personal use is deemed a permitted use.

7. Legal Training Australia PRESENTERS

Legal Training Australia reserves the right to change presenters without notice and will replace presenters with a similarly experienced presenter in such circumstances (as deemed by Legal Training Australia).

8. SYSTEM INTEGRITY

The Client agrees not to interfere with the proper working of the Legal Training Australia Website. The Client agrees not to do anything that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Website infrastructure.

9. YOUR PRIVACY

Legal Training Australia's Privacy Policy governs the way Legal Training Australia may use your information. Legal Training Australia's privacy policy may be viewed by clicking here.

11. RECORDING NOTICE

Please be advised that virtual events are subject to recording. By registering and accessing the events, participants acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Personally identifiable information of participants may be observed, heard, read, collected, or utilized by LTA as the event organiser.

2. Any communication or information shared during the online seminar, including voice, instant messages, or presentations, may be recorded and subsequently utilised by LTA as the event organiser.

12. GENERAL

In this Agreement, unless the context otherwise requires references to clauses are to clauses of this Agreement, the singular includes the plural and vice versa, where any word or phrase is defined, any other part of speech or other grammatical form of that word or phrase has a cognate meaning, and a reference to any statute, includes any amendment, consolidation, modification, enactment or reprint of it or any statute replacing it. The Legal Training Australia Website is operated and controlled in Australia. The validity, interpretation and performance of this Agreement will be governed by the law of the State of NSW of the Commonwealth of Australia. The Client may not assign, sub-license or otherwise transfer the benefit of this Agreement without the prior written consent of Legal Training Australia.
